Oregon Scientific ds6628
by o2basailor,Jun 09 '07
Pros: Absolutely NONE. Cons: Absolutely EVERYTHING.
My son bought this camera due to its small size and relatively low cost. I say relatively, because to him it was a lot of money, and a TOTAL WASTE of what little he has. This camera takes totally horrible pictures which are of no value. The image quality is so poor, you can't even tell what is in the picture. It's terrible with and without strobe, inside and outside. THESE SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE MARKET! THEY ARE A COMPLETE RIP OFF! Shame on them.

WORST PIECE OF JUNK I BOUGHT
by meridiancpl,Mar 05 '04
Pros: super good up close pics Cons: can't take a picture of people or distance, over 4 feet..is BLURRY!!
I thought that I had finally bought a good camera, 1.3 mp, what could be better when you have had less than a single mp the whole time. The camera takes perfect pictures up close, but anything over about 4 feet away, sux...is super blurry..not worth a penny for outdoors or indoors to take pics of family or anything. Would NOT recommend.....

My Favorite Christmas Gift!
by sloracer,Jan 01 '06
Pros: Convenience, it fits in my purse or pocket. Cons: The small print in the Instruction booklet.
My son sent me the Oregon Scientific DS6628 Digital Camera for Christmas. At first I was worried I'd never understand the directions. No problem until it came to downloading, but I figured that out, then had to get help with accessing the photos. I could view them as thumbnails, but couldn't figure out how to access them to send to others. I think they assume you know how to do that. The quality surprised me because I had read both of the negative responses here on Epinions. For the convenience of having a camera this small that produces pretty darn good pictures, I think it's a great deal! Of course it isn't the quality of an expensive camera, but it's excellent for my use.

Piece of Crap
by MQB0010,Aug 01 '04
Pros: Neat design Cons: Pictures are worthless
I got this camera for a gift last Christmas. At first I thought it was cool because it was so small and it was easy tio use. However, I was disappointed when I transfered the pictures into the computer. They came out blurry and were very, very low quality. I suggest that if you are in the market for a digital camera and want something small, STAY AWAY from Oregon Scientific and get a "name brand" camera. Maybe go into Best Buy and try it out before you buy it. It is not worth wasting your hard earned cash on a camera that might blur the precious memories you wish to save.
