Pros: NETWORKABLE!! Full unit functionality over the wired network environment; shared scanning, printing and copying. Cons: Software is still a little burdensome.
The effort to accessorize the modern home office with the latest, or even near-latest, technology can be an expensive and daunting one. Technology seems to move at a lightening pace, and waits for no man to keep pace with the innovations that appear ...
Pros: Size, responsive UI, incredibly bright and crisp screen, sound quality, customizable Cons: Smudge magnet (buy a case), no expansion slot, no USB plug cover
When my 1st gen iPod died recently in a freak Caesar salad accident, I thought long and hard about whether I wanted to buy another iPod or take a risk on another company. Fortunately for me, I live on the edge - I bought an iRiver Clix 2 (or Clix Gen ...
Pros: Perfect sound and tonal nuance, reliable and comfortable. Cons: Construction, the size of the foam cap a little too large..
I have had this microphone for over a year now, and have used it on stage for about 9 times. I play Irish traditional music, and I frequently play classic. I use this mic for flute and whistles, which are, I daresay, difficult in any case, but the 420 ...
Pros: Very customizable, lots of features, clear and chic Cons: battery life
I invested in a 4 GB iRiver Clix 2 after using a Samsung 1 GB player for two years. So far, I've been very impressed with the clix. It's a small size that can fit in your pocket. It is black and very sleek; there is no writing on the front, only ...
Pros: cool appearance, FM tuner, good ear buds Cons: poor customer support, windows media player software exclusively, does not sync easily
I bought the iRiver clix2 after researching several mp3 players. Consumer's Report also rated it high. It is a cool looking mp3 player. It has great ear buds that have great sound. It has a FM tuner. The problem I had with it is that would not ...
Pros: Good sound, size, picture quality Cons: 2G-- not as much storage as other players do
I purchased my Iriver Clix last Christmas, when it had just came out. I really like the design of it and how it is so different from many of the other MP3 players. It has a nice size screen, which is easy to see in the bright sunlight also. The player ...
Pros: A nice looking player with loads of features Cons: A scratch and fingerprint magnet
I was looking for alternative to Ipod Nano because I never liked going through iTunes. I picked up an iRiver Clix and I must say it is pretty impressive. The Clix comes with a clear and customizable screen which looks even better then the Nano. It has ...
Pros: Small, 2.5 oz. light

Video too tiny

When somebody has almost 80% market share, it's tempting to wonder why anyone else bothers to try to compete. of course, I could be talking about Apple's iPod and iTunes combo in the market for digital music, or I could be talking about the Microsoft ...
Pros: Clear sound,Unique screen buttons, Easy use. Includes free Windows Media Player 11, All Features Cons: Hard to keep track and download music. Freezes sometimes. Damn finger prints.
Everything feature in this player is to die for. Everything in this player I love. The size is nice and portable. Very light. The battery life lasts 27 hours on the box; but olny if you listen to 27 hours of music without lighting up the bright screen. ...
Decent Printer - Not Vista Friendly by gbergstrom,Sep 29 '07
Pros: Decent quailty print of color & black and white. Cons: The 2-sided copying is very slow & scan drivers which will not load properly.
HP small business sales needs to understand consumers needs, and what their product line can and can not deliver.
When requirements and features needed are given, don't assume that your product will work. HP tech support has taken hours of going through the same attempt to reload drivers. The end recommendation when in doubt, is to system restore, and or return the printer with no other option. Yes you mad a sale,
but you might have lost a customer.
Pros: Easy to use. Great sound. Totally cool!! Cons: Case could be much better. It needs an open face and a clip.
We purchased the iriver as a Christmas gift. My daughter loves it. I disagree about the ease of use in the previous review. I found it incredibly simple to load music onto the player. We figured out how to use just about every feature without reading the manual. Sound is great. My only complaint is that there is not a good way to carry it.
Pros: UMS mode dude! Just drag and drop files from any computer anywhere! Cons: None other than 8GB is nice but I'd like to be able to expand.
These guys thumbs-down reviewers here are full of it and clearly incapable of operating a computer - so they should indeed go waste their money on iPods. For the rest of us, know that the Clix2 works great and is actually superior to the iPods; the Clix is not choked by DRM silliness and has a very smooth user interface. You can just plug into USB port and drag/drop MP3s right onto the player. You don't need Windows Media Player (nobody does). It will work with PFS but also support "open" media formats. There are multiple choices out there for sync'ing to a PC, if you really think you need to do that. Otherwise, you'll find that the UMS mode makes it easy to plug this gem into any computer's USB port and transfer your files either direction without requiring any proprietary PC-side software. iRiver and Conwon are probably the only two major MMP3 vendors out there that have got this right. DRM sucks and this player lets you make a choice.
Pros: -Great screen
-Easy to use
-Good size Cons: -No audible support
-not larger than 2gig
I bought this for my girlfriend on her birthday because I needed a device that was easy to use and handled subscription music services (sorry Ipod) and it delivers on those counts. The screen is beautiful for a flash player and the UI is very intuitive and easy to use. I like that it doesn't have any touch pads associated with it and has dedicated volume controls. The player is very good sized and fits well in the palm of my hand. I have taken it jogging many times and it is light enough that I can't tell that it is there.
My only gripes with it is that it doesn't currently have audible support and that it only goes as high as 2gb. As soon as Iriver fixes those items I will sell my vision m and get one of these babies.
Looks good but it doesn't work by nick1006,Oct 23 '06
Pros: Design, good sound, great screen Cons: Software problems make using the Clix very frustrating. Lack of effective tech support.
I bought the iRiver Clix for its cool design, innovative interface and support of music subscription services such as Real Rhapsody.
On the plus side: the Clix has a very nice, big screen and its interface works well.
Sound quality is very good (I used Bang&Olufsen earphones). The "Live" equalizer setting is especially enjoyable over a wide range of musical styles.
*However* using the Clix is very frustrating as the software has serious problems. This is especially true when using the Clix with Rhapsody:
- Transfering music is extremely slow. You can't delete playlists from the Clix during a transfer unless you reformat the whole player (this may be a problem with Rhapsody rather than the Clix)
- The Clix freezes when trying to play some songs (one or two per playlist). You have to carry a paperclip around to reset it once an hour or so!
I tried to update the firmware through iriver's support website but it crashes halfway through and says "firmware file not valid"...
I wanted to like the Clix but ended up returning it. I got a Samsung YP-Z5 and it has no problem playing the songs from Rhapsody that made the Clix freeze.
