I have been playing Diablo II since it first released. Diablo I captured its audience with your character daring to travel to the depths of hell to face the terrible devil himself, El diablo. In the sequal, the character from the first game is known for many quests and areas, only as the dark wanderer.
Diablo II is a game that you may play for hours on end, without getting very far in the game, and still be captivated with the game. Any great game has the capacity to keep the player entertained, and with 5 areas you can progress to, each one with multiple( most with 6) seperate quests you need to complete to advance, Diablo II is a game that keeps you interested even after having beaten the game.
With each quest you complete, the game gets to be a little more difficult. Over time it causes a skilled character much difficulty to kill certain creatures. The game keeps you entertained for hours gaining levels. Overall this game is both entertaining and long enought to keep you interested the whole time that you are playing it.

this game has it all, variety of characters, no bugs, top notch online support, hundreds of ways to make your characters, insane variety of items. the graphics arent modern but the game is still fun to play. the sound is pretty good even from crappy speakers. online play is loads of fun, get some one to rush you to the end then do baal runs and lvl up like crazy. people have found about every way to make a character powerful so if your new just ask somebody what to do. there is no censors to block your words like other games do, its just my opinion but when your trying to kill satan(aka diablo) and his brothers you should already know all the swear words. since this game has been around for a while corperations are making characters called bots and they drive you nuts when playing online. the game will run on any modern computer as mine is an 04 model and it runs just fine on it. cant wait till blizzard finishes sc2 and makes the next diablo

If you're going to dive into Diablo, you are strongly advised to buy this. This means you can dive straight into the same game that millions of other people are playing. Once more, the online multiplayers, where Diablo really shines, will be enhanced further by the Lord of Destruction (LoD) expansion pack that comes bundled in the Battle Chest.

The Diablo 2 book that also comes with the Chest is a very useful resource for people experimenting with the game's engine.

The DVD is somewhat tacky, but as a very cheap addition to an already excellent set, it's worth watching at least once.

If you are debating getting Diablo 2, just go out and buy the Battle Chest. Chances are you will love Diablo 2, if you are in to action packed RPG games. My brother bought this game when it first came out in like 2000, and I have been playing it ever since. I recently had to go out and buy my own copy and chose to buy the Battle Chest because it worked out to be much cheaper that way. I am very glad I did. This game has aging graphics compared to current day games but they are not bad by any means. The music is just awesome, very nicely done. But where this game really gabs you is in its hack and slash combat, easy playablity and underlying story line. This is a quality game and the Battle Chest makes it a bargain as well.
While the single player game is great, one of the highlights is Diablo 2's multiplayer option on Battle.net. This is a free service where you can play with many other players from around the world and it introduces some variations into the game itself.
