Toshiba HD-D3 Player HD-DVD Player

Pros: Easy to setup, comes with HDMI cable and 2 DVD's.
Cons: Doesn't "seem" to support 1080p, only 1080i.

I purchased this unit at Cosco, as my previous, regular DVD player no longer works. I have a Samsung LNR 409D, 720p HD TV and a Onkyo TX SR-805 reciever. Since I don't have anything to compare it to, the picture quality seemed good. I played the Borne Identity, and although the picture seemed clear, I wasn't "wow'd" by it. One item of interest is that during the setup, there is a configuration in which you specify the highest resolution to support. This setting can only go to 1080i, not 1080p, so if you have a 1080p TV, you may want to inquire as to whether or not you will be able to take advantage of the higher resolution with this player.
