I bought this game in 2004 and couldn't stop playing it for months. I still to this day play it a lot. It is an overall good game. I have to admit there are some glitches in the game but that is expected from any game. I bought this game because it is a great mix of types of games. It has some driving, some shooting, a real lifestyle, and it has a plot. What more could you ask for from a game. Like I said there are some minor glitches but nothing that will disrupt your game play in any way.

This is the best game made for PlayStation 2 or any gaming system at that. The game is way to fun... you can do much more things in San Andreas then you could in Vice City. Vice City sucks big time compaired to San Andreas.

The only bad things (not really that bad at all) are; Zero's mission "Supply Lines" is way to hard.. but i did end up beating it. There a some glitches that are annyoing some even funny. And the pop-ups are annyoing.. for example you will be driving down there road take a left in an alley way and hit something and in 5 secs a wall will appear.. other then that this is a GREAT game. Can't wait til the next Grand Theft Auto

Man,man,man,rockstar games has done it again. I love the westcoast gang life. It's a good play. When i first fot the game i would stay up to play it because i couldn't get enough. The missions and The mini- missions were good too. i'm kind of speechless about the game. But please if rockstar games is this please make a GTA of the dirty,dirty south.

This the the biggest, the funnest, the best GTA ever made. There is everything, cycling, motorbiking, planes, choppers, cars, and much more. This game is recommended for people ages 4-100.

ok, so I've only ever played Vice City and this one, but believe me, this one is SO much better! what Vice City lacked, San Andreas makes up for.

First off, no getting stuck in the water! You can swim/dive! There are hills to traverse, places with gorgeous sunsets, casinos, prossies (in true GTA fashion), expansive highways, did I say hills? truck driving missions, blowing things up, shooting things down...

Overall: oh yeah.

(PARENTS take into consideration the game rating- they're there for a reason! not saying that video games will make your kid violent, just saying depending on how you raise your kid... there's a lot (a lot?, a ton) of swearing in game and in roaming, male nudity later in the game (the gimp suit), 'suggestive scenes and noises', drug references etc.

Pros: bigger world, great storyline, major character interactivity, non-linear gameplay.
Cons: none, as far as i know.

Had played GTA vice city before this and loved it so much that i thought nothing could be better until i came across San Andreas, which made vice city look old, love the characters, especially the main one, CJ and OG loc, love the story line, the freedom in the game to do anything. Love the way the gameplay is different for everybody, no two CJs even look the same.

Pros: For adult gamers, a near-perfect distraction.
Cons: This kind of game needs more characters to choose from.

Free roam (in a radius that increases with game progression) through three cities closely modeled after the most glamorous and popular part of the U.S., with vast wilderness in between, with "access" to vehicles of all kinds in every direction (except submarines; get to work, Rockstar!), food joints, bars, casinos, races, dating, bodybuilding, martial arts, weapons galore (dual shotguns, hunting rifles, guided rockets, oh my!), territorial battles, skydiving, airports, custom clothing and bling bling, and something to do in almost every place on the map (even if it's just stunt flying or easter egg hunting). The only thing this game is missing is complete character customization, or at least a female counterpart for the main role. Also NOT recommended for children who aren't savvy to crime-fantasy type movies and games. Otherwise, pure gaming genius.

Grand theft auto has been a classic since it came out on gameboy! The only reason to get playstation 2 is Grand theft auto. With its own complete and challenging story line, this game gives you the fun and freedom of choosing which vehicle to hijack, what missions to do, killing who ever you want on the street, where to drive, fly, and explore, and even too work out and eat, buy the clothes you want, get the hairdoo you want, and as detailed the the color and type of watch on your wrist. This game has it all. I love the fact that you can use cheats and that is the only reason I play the game. You can get jetpacks, parachutes to jump out of planes, to get any weapon available including knives and bombs, and much, much, more. This game is just as good as halo 2, if not better.

Pros: Very realistic and loads of new thigns to do!
Cons: when driving fast, i can see water as some parts of the roads.

This game is great! , worth purchasing. it's very realistic and keeps me busy for hours! it is alot better then Vice city and GTA 3 . it has better graphics and loads of new things to do, more shops to go into , Gyms to enter , CLubs to go to and Great new missions!

Cons: Extreme Vulgar Language

Having played this game for the first time this week, I can say tht is has senario depth and plot that few can rival. Graphics were good, not great, character depth is excellent. Missions are challenging but not impossible.

This is a very violent game, and is filled with the most vulgar language of any video game ever made. They drop more F-Bombs than they did in Menace2Society, Friday and Goodfellows put together. I know that they are trying to capture the feel of time in which the game is set, but it could have been just as good without the language.

I would suggest this game for anyone 17 or above. I can not in good faith suggest this game for anyone younger. Parents be ware, this is not a game you want your kids to be exposed to.

This game is Brilliant. I found that i got lost more often than not, i'am still searching the Bigfoot (this don't exist by the way). the game is more like a big action sim like game. Dieing because of hunger is a bit lame i preferred non eating tommy! Even though there are many glitches some are cool or good. I think this game is one of the best games ever!!! though not a big step forward from Vice city and the graphics are a bit cartooney.
