Sharp LC-46D92U 46 in. HDTV LCD TV

Pros: great picture
Cons: set is defective, Sharp won't fix

I purchased a Sharp LC46D92U a few months ago. The set has begun locking up on channel 61.1 (over the air) and when it does, I can't change channels or turn the set off. The only way to unlock it is to unplug it and plug it back in. Sharp's response is that it is a signal problem, even though my neighbors don't have the problem with their flat panels on that channel. How can a low signal lock up a TV, and how can a manufacturer claim they have no responsibililty?
