Pros: Good Picture but do need the HD components to get full effect. Cons: Broke down after 1 week, high chirping sound from RCA inputs.
I recently bought this product at Circuit City on Black Friday. Waited in line for 3 hours and picked up the 46 inch sharp aqueos. I brought it home and it worked for a week and then the screen went black and a loud high pitch screeching sound came from ...
Pros: Awesome picture. Great TV for the price. Good customer service. Cons: Beginning problems with the first TV being defective.
I have had this TV since December. The first one I purchased had a problem with it, that it would blow the power controls board and leave me with nothing but a blinking green light at the bottom of the TV. After replacing the board once, Sharp realized ...
Pros: super thin. got a great deal$. pick up others on demand movies Cons: gigantic crappy remote doesnt control other dvd/vcrs yet
I'm not a TV guru so this will mainly be from a basic user experience. I wouldn't have bought such an expensive tv, but there was just too great of a deal to pass up ordering direct from Sharp at $1200 on special. Once I finally got the TV (delivery ...
Unbelievably crappy customer service by briannadig,Nov 08 '08
Pros: Picture Cons: Very lousy customer service.
Bought this tv in Feb. 2008. Sept. 2008 it broke... No picture and flashing green lights... Sharp sent a "certified" technician out to have a look on Sept. 9, 2008. He took the tv away and told me it would be a week before I got it back... no problem... a week passed, then 2, then 3... Finally after talking to the shop where it was at, I was not satisfied with thier answers and they still have not ordered the part in that was needed... I called Sharp customer service, after another 2 weeks of customer service dealing with the shop, Sharp finally decided that they will replace the tv with an "upgrade"... That decision was made 2 weeks ago, and I still do not have my "upgrade" I originally bought the LC-46D64U, retail $1600... They want to "upgrade" to the LC-46D65, retail $1500... I am so ANGRY at customer service, making me wait over 9 weeks WITHOUT a tv, for such a simple fix... The problem originally was a power supply board...
Once we got past the set-up, the television was fantastic! by argylltb,Apr 17 '08
Pros: Easy to use, picture colors and sharpness are great, almost no glare from the screen. Cons: Sound too low, set-up was difficult with dish box, DVD player, and sound system.
We bought our Sharp Aquos online from Costco in July, '07. Setting it up ourselves was tricky with everything that needed to be connected. Once that was accomplished, we were fine. We have satellite and haven't had any problem with the picture from day one. We have not subscribed to HD yet and haven't felt the urgent need to do so, but probably will eventually. Our chief complaint is that we have had to have a sound system added as the regular television sound just doesn't go high enough. We are so pleased with our 46" set, that we're considering the same set, only smaller, for our bedroom.
