Totally Tasty. Totally Organic Goodness
by bigtime1776,Oct 07 '04
Pros: Quality,Flavor, and Organic to boot! Cons: Price,Availability
After seeing this beer at my local Trader Joe's in Long Beach,CA; I immediately tossed a few into my cart(along with Sammy's nut brown ale and oatmeal stout for good measure). I've been focusing my diet on organic and natural foods for quite a while. But it's not every day that you come across an organic beer. While it would be misleading to call this beer "healthy", it just gives you a good feeling while drinking it. Back in the day, every beer was organic!
The color is a rich, golden brown-not unlike the nut brown ale. The taste is heady and complex, like a good jamband. Slight bitter overtones, but well-balanced. If you stumble across the brew, give it a try.
