Pros: compact, lots of megapixels for the price Cons: lots of buttons on back of camera, still haven't figure out all of them
I purchased this camera after my 5.0 megapixel minolta died after 2 short years. I was pleased with the price of this camera for the amount of megapixels it had. I mostly take just family shots, that sort of thing, not a big photography buff. We email ...

Samsung NV-7 OPS Camera
by speaklightly,Oct 02 '06
Pros: Small size, and high zoom Cons: The user interface is easy to use once you have used it for awhile.
I have only owned this camera for two days. However, I teach Digital Cameras, so becoming comfortable with the NV-7 was easy.
Photos right out of the camera are excellent, with particularly good color, especially skin tones. I have found that if you stay at ISO 400 or lower, noise is not a problem. All in all, based on my short experience, the NV-7 looks to be a good camera.
What I like best beyond its excellent photos, is its small size and 7X Optical Zoom.

Great little camera overall
by stevrltr,May 19 '08
Pros: Excellent quality photos, good zoom range, great price Cons: Lens extends quite aways from body, hard to understand manual in some instances
I recently purchased the Samsung NV7 camera. Among its strengths: takes clear photos and has an extended zoom range
(7x) in a relatively compact body. Compared to the Kodak electronic viewfinder cameras, for example, the Nuvi is much smaller. When looking at the dimensions from the manufacturer be aware that the lens extends quite a bit from the slim body dimensions given.
The user interface on the back of the camera is quite easy to use once you understand the concept. That's good because the manual is often vague and leaves much to be discovered by the user. I have owned several cameras from Sony, Nikon, and Canon and all their manuals were much easier to understand, particularly when it comes to the more advanced features that higher end cameras from those manufacturers and this particular Samsung model are capable of. That being said, the camera has awesome features, takes clear pictures and overall is quite compact. For the price, it is a very good camera.
