Don't want the expense but want the quality? by skoobs,Jul 03 '08
Pros: Fast
Quality
Great Value Cons: Some offsetting if not warmed up
Hard to find a good stand
Interface on machine
We are a small Design shop that needed the quality of some of the bigger Xerox and Canon machines, but didn't want the monthly cost of renting/leasing those. This we were able to buy outright and so far it has performed excellent. Printing is fast and quality is good (though make sure the machine is warm before printing full bleed as there can be some offsetting on first pass).
Mind you we are not using this for high-end print documents, thought I don't see why we couldn't. We are a Mac shop and have no issues so far (except trying to find toner online).
This is a big heavy machine and will require you have the space, but for a small (or even bigger office) it is awesome.
The main con I have for this is the display menus as they can be very confusing (web interface is pretty decent though)
