This is my wife's exact words. This Magic Eraser is "Awesome". Of coarse I asked why. (I had seen them advertised on the T.V. but as we know not all products work as well at home as they do on the "tube".) Instead of telling me she showed me.
The grandkids had been over for the weekend, so there were black marks on the floor, a few pencil marks on walls, and some colorful goo on the hallway wall that I have no idea what it was from. My wife simply run a little water on the sponge and rubbed the spots. Presto the spot or stain or whatever was gone. Of coarse, I was still skepticle. She handed me the Eraser. I went to work on anything I could think of. The table, hard water stains in the tub, wood furniture, brake dust on the car rims, the discoloration on the garden chairs, grease on my tools, even the vinyl fence (that I hit with the lawn mower). It cleaned it all amazingly well and with not a lot of effort. By the time I was finished, the eraser looked like a smashed glob. My wife said its time to throw that one out.
The Eraser looks like a cleaning sponge, with the sides cut in a curving fashion for better grip. It has a smooth side and a textured side for more scubbing power. It has been chemically treated and is highly abrasive. The manufacturer cautions using it on; a person, a car's body, some wood finishes, and stainless steel surfaces. It is inexpensive and a great tool for cleaning.
