hddlstn02's Full Review: Hoover F5810 SteamVacâ„¢ Upright Vacuum
I just purchased this last week & have cleaned A LOT with it so far. I love it! It has gotten a carpet in my parents house looking new again when everyone thought there was no hope. It does a great job cleaning and drying... Every carpet I've done has been dry within 1 1/2 hrs. It really fluffs up the nap of the carpet too.
I have noticed that the dirty water tank is tricky to get clean afterwards, but I've found that it's best to empty in the shower & use the removable shower head (if you have one) to spray it out with. On very dirty or large carpets the clean water tank may need to be refilled or the dirty water tank emptied in the middle of the job, but that's not hard to do. The clear "lens" in the front does collect dirty water, but it reads in the manual to suck up clear tap water to clean that part & that does work pretty well.
I only used the upholstery tool a little bit just to try it out & it seems like it works good too, only it does spit out quite a bit of water, so the drying time on furniture may be longer, but I can't say from experience. There is supposed to be a hard floor cleaner attachment, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
All in all, I am extremely happy with my purchase. I hope it lasts a long time, but honestly, I've probably already gotten my moneys worth out of it.
