russ777's Full Review: Hewlett Packard Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet P...
I purchased HP OfficeJet 5610 from Staples weeks ago and so far pretty satisfied with its performance. Before purchasing this printer I researched all HP competitors (canon, epson, lexmark and okidata). I reviewed performance, price of the printer, replacement cartridge price, speed, network connectivity and other options that were important for me. Since I have someone in my family who is currently in school, I was looking primarily at printing features and ink "millage". For regular printing I usually use econo-fast mode, so with average quality level this printer produces pages pretty fast with low cartridge usage. Text is sharp, clean, black, and legible at small point sizes.
If you need to print photos, I would not suggest to use this system. Go with something else. This is good multifunctional printer for small office to handle grayscale paper work.
Scanning: color scanning is poor, but grayscale is Ok.
Faxing: 5610 can accomplish a number of other stand-alone tasks. You can send faxes immediately or delay them; you can enter a forwarding number for incoming faxes; and the 5610 can do poll faxing--that is, call another fax machine to request a waiting document. The HP OfficeJet 5610 prints reports so that you'll know if your faxes are going astray, and it has caller ID, a junk-fax barrier, and distinctive-ring-detection features.
This printer requires only 2 cartridges unlike canon or lexmark and itâs very easy to install them even for inexperienced person. This printer is not designed for large amount of paper to be handled simultaneously. Its paper tray holds about 25 pages.
