tonytonetoni's Full Review: LG WM0642H Front Load Washer
I, like another consumer here, went through the Craplypso nightmare. Constant repairs, complaints to the manufacturer and even a report to Good Housekeeping who had given it the GH stamp of approval! Nobody wanted to help.
So, when I finally tired of replacing my clothes every other month, I started some serious looking. I stayed away from anything Whirlpool, Kenmore or Maytag (which was recently purchased by Whirlpool). I had looked at the LG front loaders before but I honestly thought that the price was too high. I'd been down that road before and didn't want to spend another $900 for a shredder.
I then looked around my home. LG refrigerator, LG DVD player, LG T.V....see the pattern? I did more research and finally settled on the WM0642HW. What a relief! This machine is fantastic. I also purchased the matching dryer (DLG0452W).
Someone else here said that these machines make doing laundry as enjoyable as doing laundry can be. It sounds strange but they are right. These machines are quiet (when the washer is leveled. I had mine delivered and installed professionally), efficient, stylish and technology advanced. For those of you who still may be having the vibration issues, LG sells rubber feet to place underneath. I have mine on the second floor of my home and have no problems whatsoever.
My rating is a solid 10! You will not be disappointed. Your clothes will be cleaner, your electric and water bill smaller and your clothes will be in one piece! Plus, I got free delivery and my water district rebated $150 instantly for purchasing a water efficient appliance!
P.S. I also sent a picture of my new LG set to Whirlpool. Maytag may not care, but it made me feel better and got my point across. Whirlpool, you nor any of your subsidiaries will ever see another one of my hard earned dollars!
