Pros: Quiet and holds large loads.

Cons: No sanitary wash if that's important to you.

The Bottom Line: I would recommend this washer. It's got all the basics and then some. Won't heat your water but then that's something new that most Americans don't need anyway.

I really checked all over the internet for reviews about this washer. I even subscribed to consumer reports to get an unbiased opinion. I originally thought I would get a Whirlpool duet but the they are so pricey. I also wanted to get a U.S. made product but quite frankly there isn't any in a front loader. Maybe Maytag but they're still figuring out front loaders.
We have a septic system and the idea of using less water appeals plus the utility room is right outside the family room. My old washer was plenty noisy. This one is really quiet. We got the nice deep pedestal that comes as an accessory. My husband leveled the washer a couple of different times during the high spin cycle and finally it stays still in the spin cycle. Once would have been enough but I moved the washer just an inch to get it away from a cabinet and it had to be leveled again. A tool is included to do this and it's fairly easy. The washer is on a concrete floor and that probably helps too. I'm sure if you get the washer balanced on a regular floor it should be OK. I've noticed a little puddle of water (maybe a tablespoon full) in the gasket around the front door. After the last load of the day I wipe this out with a wet towel or whatever I've just washed before I put it in the dryer. Also I don't latch the door for awhile just as a precaution against mildew. I really don't know that it's necessary but why not? This thing will do 900 rpms in the spin cycle if you want. The towels feel almost dry and remind me of towels that hang outside on a line. You may want to use softener of just a normal spin cycle. I've only had this washer a few days but I really like it so far. We did get an extended warranty because of the unknown reliability of this product. We purchased it at Bestbuy and got a special deal on the warranty because we got the matching dryer. Also there's a $50 rebate available on the both the washer and dryer right now.
They are not stacked and you wouldn't want to stack them with a pedestal unless you're tall and have high ceilings.
Also our washer is very close to the water heater in the utility room so there's no problem with getting hot water to it.
