I stumbled upon Adorama pretty much by chance when attempting to purchase an inexpensive 49mm Polarized Filter for my Magnavox camcorder while at...where else...my favorite on-line store...Amazon.Com! Adorama is one of their authorized vendors and in this case...the only one at that time who had the inexpensive item for under $22 w/s+h.
This all happened way back in September of 2004. After receiving confirmation from Amazon, I immediately also received an email confirmation from Adorama. Within a week the item was delivered at my front door via UPS Ground shipping. Since Adorama is located in New York...they were close by.
I like their website...www.Adorama.Com and if you are a professional videographer looking for a bargain used camcorder or camera of just about any type...they have some pretty reasonable stuff. The site also has a plethora of accessories for camera buyers to choose from.
Their packaging is very good with plenty if not too much bubble wrap and packing paper. Having worked in a Shipping dept. at Agilent Technologies Customer Service myself...I appreciated this great service! Oh by the way...the Adorama branded filter that I purchased...turned out to be a Tiffen! This was another pleasant surprise that only added to the overall great experience!
