Pros: Most luxury available in a van, quiet, smooth ride, seamless all-wheel drive, manufacturer discounts Cons: local dealer should be in jail The Bottom Line: A great car experience ruined by a truly terrible local dealer
Let me begin by saying that I love Honda vehicles, I have owned several, and when it was time to replace my wife's current Plymouth Grand Voyager I was all for getting the Honda Odyssey. My wife however liked the look of the Town & Country so to humor ...

Pros: Quiet, comfortable, ergonomics, creature comforts, fun to drive, part Mercedes Benz. Cons: Price, past reliability, third row split seat uncomfortable. The Bottom Line: Test drive the Honda and the Chrysler. Look for quality and creature comforts. Remember, this isn't the old Chrysler, but Mercedes Benz also. You may be pleasantly surprised.
I like to do my homework before buying a vehicle. I've owned an '89 Dodge Grand Caravan, '91 Plymouth Grand Voyager, '96 Chrysler T & C and then I had to decide... would it be a 2003 Honda Odyssey EX or Chrysler Town & Country Limited? Consumers...

Pros: Comfort, luxury, handling Cons: Third row split seats uncomfortable for middle person. Shifter directly in path to radio volume. The Bottom Line: The 2003 Chrysler T&C is actually FUN to drive! We look forward to riding in our new "limo" and highly recommend that anyone in the market give it a test-drive.
Please read cuttingedge2's excellent review. I won't attempt to rewrite his work.
We began looking at the Dodge Grand Caravan, thinking that it would be the same van for less money. We were wrong. While the Dodge version is also a solid...

Pros: Ride, comfort, price. Cons: See above. Reliability over long term could be much better. The Bottom Line: Chrysler has reliability ratings. Make sure you do your research and can live with what you find.
My wife and I purchased a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country long wheel base with the family package installed in July of 2003. Let me first begin with the positives then I will proceed to the criticisms: Positives: This van rode like a dream. Quiet, ...

Pros: Looks great, lots of room (w/o front floor console), comfortable front seats Cons: Electrical problems, huge blind spot, no latch system in 3rd seat, terrible headrests The Bottom Line: Beware of automatic sliding doors, don't buy without the extended warranty if you get this feature. Would be a great van w/o this feature. Has mysterious electrical bugs.
We bought this car based on reputation, my brother has been really satisfied with his. Ours has all the new features though, and plenty has gone wrong with them. Let me give you a quick rundown of our van problems so far: 1.Automatic sliding doors are ...

Pros: Comfort, roominess and luxury features. DVD entertainment. Cons: Gas mileage (so far below expectation). Chrysler reliability reputation. The Bottom Line: If you need AWD, high passenger capacity and luxury then check out the T&C Limited. We were pleasantly surprised - you may be too!
It was finally time to replace our 1995 Ford Explorer.
Wanted "3rd row seating" to provide for lifestyle with school aged children.
Considered SUVs (Passport, MDX), Minivans (Sienna) and Crossovers (Pacifica and others). This is...

Beautiful Vehicle. At 0% Interest The Price Is Not Bad. Smooth Quite Ride. Power Doors Awesome With Kids!
We have only had the van for about 5 days. I may right another review after I have put some miles on it. As for first impressions however, it is wonderful.
We bought the 2003 Town & Country LXi with leather seats. The price was 35,000,...

Pros: Ride, Quietness, Luxury, Cons: Small outside mirrors, No rear parking aid system The Bottom Line: It's one of the best minivans today!
Town & Country offer a lot of feature not found in most other minivan. It's the most luxury minivan. (But the new '04 Sienna will beat it).
Examples: Power rear liftgate; 3-zone climate control; beautiful gauges (in LXi & Limited only), very...

Pros: Motorized rear doors/hatch.
Quiet cabin, trip computer, middle-seat console units, memory seats, leather seats Cons: Transmission defect after 1700 miles.
Incompetent dealer service department. The Bottom Line: Caveat Emptor - buyer beware. Keep an eye out for a recall notice for transmission, maybe. Mine developed a serious problem only after 1700 miles.
We got this minivan with a trade-in of 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport. We were very satisfied with it - all the creature comforts, relatively quiet interior, nice motorized rear doors, reasonably powerful engine etc.
But at 1700 miles of driving,...

New update We now have 30,000 miles on our Town and Country Chrysler 2003 Van and are still extremely pleased. We took a two month 9000 mile camping trip through Canada and the West from NJ and it performed perfectly. We did make sure we got it ...

Pros: The quality is outstanding, great engineering. Cons: None to mention The Bottom Line: After all the sleepless nights trying to come to a desision im so glad i made the T&C our new family car. The wife and kids do too.
Well I finally did it. I bought my wife a mini van, after months of driving to various dealerships looking at all types of suvs, and a lot of research and homework. The Town and Country was the best choice.

Pros: Beautiful, best of options, affordable Cons: Can't get driver side sliding door with power. The Bottom Line: You get what you pay for, but the Chrysler Town and Country fits my families needs and wants.
Overall for the $$, Town and Country has my pick for affordable comfort, stlye, and reputation. I would suggest adding the DVD/Video system, but that's just me ;o)
We looked at other models like the Honda Oddessy and Toyota Sienna, but for...

Pros: Nice ride , handling , braking and huge interior. Cons: Very poor mechanical reliability. It eats front bakes. The gas mileage is horrible. The Bottom Line: Because of the problems, I would not get another town & Country. For the amount of years that Chrysler is making them, they should be more reliable.
Let me start by saying that I only lease cars and vans, so I get new ones every 3 years. We went to the Town & Country from a 1999 Nissan Quest. The Town & Country has a very comfortable interior, good ride and handling and great braking (4 wheel disc ). ...

Pros: roomy, very comfortable, good features, such as DVD player and great stereo. Great looking car. Cons: The stalling problems are unacceptable, making the car unpredictable, and unreliable The Bottom Line: I would never buy this car again. I could have loved this car, but hate it, because of unreliability. I could spend a fortune fixing problems that don't get fixed.
We replaced my 1993 Pontiac Transport 2 1/2 months ago with the 2003 Town & Country minivan. I absolutely loved it at first, until I started having stalling problems, about 2 weeks ago. The car has been in the shop, or stuck in parking lots more than it ...

Pros: Nice space and automatic doors Cons: Steering problems, lights going off, smell
I like the look and space of this minivan. I can fit kids comfortably inside and I enjoy the automatic sliding doors. It is a quiet ride. Unfortunately, we have had nothing but problems with this car since we first bought it. We have had a number of problems with the steering. It has made strange noises on many occasions, and the entire steering system had to be replaced. Now we are getting the airbag light when we make sharp turns. We also have experienced a foul odor from the air conditioner. We are looking into the lemon law. Do yourself a big favor and buy a Toyota.
