Pros: Affordable, reliable, good gas mileage, easy on the eyes Cons: Not terribly exciting The Bottom Line: Highly recommend to those looking for reliable and attractive used vehicle at low cost.
The 1994 Geo Prizm was my first car; I bought it the same week I got my driver's license (August of 2000).
I got a great deal: $3,000 for a 4-door, with A/C, Cruise Control, Power Everything, CD/Cassette deck, and only one previous owner....

Pros: Runs great! 5 speed manual transmission. 32 miles per gallon. Super climate control system. Dependable. Cons: Too low to ground. Slow acceleration. Dark interior gets warm in sun. The Bottom Line: Wonderful car. Very dependable, few problems. For me gas mileage was the #1 priority and this car has been very efficient. Perfect car if you are looking for something used.
I bought my '94 Geo new. I wanted a Corolla but couldn't afford one. The Prizm is a Corolla with a Chevy price. I bought the base model in Gulf stream teal. I have a 5 speed manual transmission, anti-lock brakes, air bags, air cond. and base radio/cass. ...

Pros: You get a Corolla at a Chevy price!
Gas mileage is excellent! Cons: Loud over 70 m.p.h., average acceleration, lean on backseat space.
The Bottom Line: This is a Corolla under a Geo badge. You will be pleased with your purchase at any mileage. BONUS: both Prizm and Corolla parts are interchangeable!
The first Geo Prizm I had owned had been a 1996 off-lease with 29,000 miles on it. It was an LSI, auto, with power-everything, and was purchased for $9,900. I sold it to my nephew in 2001 with 95,000 miles on it. He, in turn, sold it 2 years later with ...

Pros: My gas mileage is 28 city and 34 highway. Cons: Brights cannot be used for long. Fighting the locks to get in when raining. The Bottom Line: This car truly has a mind of it's own, making it very difficult to become bored with. 28/34 gas mileage makes it perfect for today's driver.
My Geo Prizm has over two hundred eighty thousand miles on it and is still running great! Gas mileage is about twenty-eight city and thirty-four highway. I have literally gone one full month, driving back and forth almost only to work, on one tank of ...

Pros: Good price, Toyota guts..Chevy price, engine runs good, responsive, looks good clean, good MPG
Cons: Little noisy, small engine, shaking (axle). The Bottom Line: If you are looking for something to get you from point A to point B, runs well, this is it. Good lines, and just a basic car.
I had got this car used in 1997 when my previous car (also a 94 Prizm) got t-boned and flipped over. Car was great, I walked away with only scratches on my back from climbing out the shattered passenger window while the car was upside down, and the ...

Pros: Reliability, Stability, Cheap Cons: None The Bottom Line: I purchased it since I'm a college student and needed something economic. But it will also make a great grocery getter, or your everyday car.
All I can say is I LOVE this car. After spending countless hours and money at the mechanic, I decided that I needed a car that would 1)Have low insurance 2)Be very reliable 3)Good Mileage I researched as much as I could and decided on the Prizm, ...

Pros: Reliable, affordable, great gas mileage Cons: None The Bottom Line: A reliable, comfortable little car with great gas mileage and few problems of any kind.
I *love* my Geo Prizm! I bought it in October of 1993 brand-new, and it has been the most reliable, easy-to-drive, inexpensive-to-own car I've ever had. Several times I've test-driven new cars thinking to trade, but have found nothing I like as well....

Pros: reliable, nice to drive, economical Cons: small
I bought my 1994 Geo Prizm LSI two years ago with 80,000 miles on it. I chose it because reviews said it is essentially the same as the Toyota Corolla but with worse resale value. That's true. I did not pay much for the car.
The car is four...

Pros: Reliable, good gas mileage Cons: Paint starting to fade, transmission shot The Bottom Line: Good car, but if it has 120,000 or more miles, you better plan on dumping in some money to fix some stuff, unless it was just recently done.
My wife has been the sole owner of our 1994 Geo Prizm. She has always loved it and has never really had any problems. She told me that this was one of only 2 American cars that Consumer Reports recommended for this price-range (under $20,000). In ...

Pros: Fast, durable, and fun to drive Cons: Drink holder in between ash tray and stereo The Bottom Line: Very reliable car. I drive 100 miles a day to/from work, and have never worried about not making it.
Being female with basic knowledge of cars, that's very important.
It's a small car and that's why it goes anywhere. It's probably not recommended, but we have used our Geo to basically 4X4. We've driven off-road in some pretty rough areas and it still get's us to where we want to be. We were just told recently from...

Pros: Reliable, affordable, dependable, fuel efficient. Cons: You have to say you drive a Geo. The Bottom Line: Geo Prizms are great cars, well worth the money. If you don't mind driving something small and boring (and I don't!) this is the best car for you.
I bought my 1994 Geo Prizm in May of 1999. It had about 70K miles on in, but it was in great shape overall. My husband and his best friend both drove Prizms, and they both recommended them to me. During the time I've had mine, it's taken me from Maine...

It is...

Geo Prizm, find one if you can

Pros: Gas saver, reliable, insurance savy Cons: The name Geo. People will diss you for the name
I've had this car for awhile (more than 2 years). I tell ya, that these cars are.... yes.... RELIABLE. That is the one word you will hear with these cars wherever you go. Yes, its a Toyota Corolla in disguise, but who cares. And you find that these cars can at least get 32 city, 37 highway/roadtrip MPG normally. Keep up the regular oil changes and maintenance, and you will have a car that will take you past the 200k miles limit. Treat it with love, give it a nice coat of paint later in its lifetime, you will find this car can really stand up for itself. Although its not a super speedy car, you can and will be able to get onto the highway quite well, she does have some pick up and go. Stick shift is highly recommended.

Pros: It is one of the most reliable cars ever built! Cons: Not quite as fast as i would like it to be!
I reluctantly bought this car off my wife's co-worker! I brought the car to my mechanic and he told me that the car was built by toyota, so i took his word for it!!! that was 8 years ago!!!! This car has never given me a problem since i bought it, except for the fact that i had to change the timing belt 5 months ago!!! I sell cars at an auction, and i recomend this car for anyone looking for a cheap reliable car!!! This car i easily one of the best built cars ever!!! I seen one with 417,000 miles on it and it was still running good!!!
