Our son at only 4 months old outgrew his car carrier seat due to his height. We shopped around for a new car seat and choose the Britax Marathon - Granite. It is a very cushiony seat that our son seems to like. It is definitely more padded than other car seats and we felt great about him riding in it. In previous car seats for our older son we added sheepskin padding under the seats to soften the ride but with this particular seat we didn't need to do this. So far our son now 8 Months old rides without fussing and we wish we had this for our first son who is now 4 years old.
