Pros: Upgradeability, AMI Bios, Fanless, LED Power Status Cons: On-board Sound, SLI Video Card Space, ASUS Support (one time)
How exciting can a motherboard be? To most people not very, and to myself...still not very much. Whenever I consider buying a stereo receiver, I always checkout the back to see all the connections & hidden features. With this ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe, it is ...

Pros: Fixed my hard drives for raid or something. Cons: Manufacturing processes and services are poor.
I'm not a big fan of ASUS motherboards but I had to get this one for my ultimate computer a few years ago. This would of been my favorite motherboard, which the A8N-SLI motherboard based upon NVIDIA's SLI chipset was launched in 2004. Performance, ...

Unreliable
by mwilg,Jun 23 '06
Pros: Good enough board when it works Cons: Board itself unreliable and company has lousy customer svc
Have had two fail within a couple of weeks of being installed in a new computer. It's exactly the same failure: one of the hard drive ports becomes intermittent and in doing so has damaged a couple of drives in the process.
My biggest beef is that ASUS will not do refunds, only exchanges, and will not release any information on what they find wrong, so there's no way to try and figure out whether it might be something in the installation.
I recommend doing business with someone more helpful!

Excellent mobo
by botbuilder99,Apr 04 '07
Pros: Easy, intuitive setup, modular plugs for the case wiring (nice!), heatpipe cooling, documentation. Cons: none
I've build lots of systems with ASUS boards and this one was every bit as easy to build as the others. The fanless cooling system really is not fanless! There is a mini fan included that attaches to one of the radiators, but really its the airflow from the case fans thats doing the real cooling, so don't expect to have a silent system.
My system has Athlon Windsor 2.6GHz, 2 7900GS SLI boards, 2 SATA drives, a Sondigo sound card and a Corsair 520W PSU. With most games it runs hot, even with a 120mm front and rear fan, CPU cooler and a case side fan blowing directly on the GPUs.
Overclocking is fairly easy with the ASUS utilities and the system is very stable.

HIGH QUALITY & PERFORMANCE
by snpiee,Feb 06 '07
Pros: Quality, Performance, Feature laden Cons: Sorry, can't think of one thing!
I used this board for about a year now. I have to say out of all the boards I used to own this one is at the top. Even though its pricy but well worth it.
I have not had any problems with any part of the board. The board has many features/options like External SATA connector, Heat Pipe Technology, True dual x16 SLI, many many more great features AS EXPECTED FROM ASUS.
The quality is great and so is the performance.
I've been using ASUS boards for about 10 years. In my opinion ASUS is the best motherboard manufacturer out there.
