Pros: An excellent MP3 player with a huge hard drive. Cons: With so much space available you may not know what to do with it all.
Once I bought the iPhone I was dying for another bite of the Apple. I have a huge and ever expanding collection of music and therefore need a large MP3 player to hold it all on. The iPhone is great, but with a 16GB hard drive it just isn't quite large ...

Pros: Light, Convenient Size, Durable, Easy To Use Cons: No Touch Screen :(
A little while back (say... 3 years...), I wrote a review of the F
irst
Gen iPod Nano, and have sense upgraded to a 160GB iPod Classic - a little different versus my 2GB Nano... I have been extremely happy with both ...

Pros: Excellent hardware manufacturing quality. Cons: Firmware has limited features and iTunes is a prison.
I used a Creative Nomad Zen Extra 30GB for over three years. I needed more space for my 13,000-song music collection (mostly MP3/VBR ~192kbps), and I want to see the full glory of color cover art. I use a fast PC with Windows XP and USB 2.0. Using ...

Pros: Tons of HD space, Updated OS, added search feature, metal form factor Cons: Coverflow is kind of slow, scratches easily (invest in a case)
I've had my iPod classic 160GB for about 4 months now and thought it deserved a review. There isn't too much to say in terms of the difference between this one and older versions. It has a very similar OS, except for the fact it's a bit updated with 3d ...

Pros: HUGE storage capacity, easy to use, tons of features, and a very nice looking screen. Cons: None that I can think of.
I recently purchased this black iPod Classic 160 GB as an upgrade to my old 30 GB iPod Video that I have had for about 2 years. I absolutely love it! The first thing that I noticed was how much brighter the screen is when compared to my old iPod. ...

The best option!!!
by centris,Jan 03 '08
Pros: Build quality, storage capacity, intuitive interface.
Cons: It comes pretty naked, no wall charger, fm tuner, etc.)
Having a huge CD collection (thousands...) mostly jazz and classical I didn't want to compromise on storage space and sound quality. I imported everything in Apple Lossless format which sounds the best.
Obviously the files are bigger but with 160Gig this gives me the space for about 500-600 albums which is plenty enough for carrying around. The sound quality is like listening from the CD.
Having so many songs in such a small and beautiful unit is great.

Could not get it to work
by priestp1,Dec 04 '07
Pros: - Storage capacity and size the ability to use it as a portable hard drive Cons: - buggy / defects
After several tries and reading several blogs, I have found that there are numerous issues with the device. I had to roll back from Itunes 7.5 to 7.4.3 and plug it in to a powered USB Hub. After doing that I was only able to sync 943 songs of a 3,500 song library. If anything, this tells you the device is defective. While the classic has been around, I would recommend to not buy a first generation device. I did stick with apple and bought the 8 gb nano and have had no problems.

Ipods are a waste of money,
by lizpaige,Mar 20 '08
Pros: None, I don't have anything for this section.
Cons: Break easily, overpriced, bad sound quality, not many color choices, too big, or too small.
I don't think Ipod's are a very reliable music device.
I have used them before and they aren't reliable at all.
Mp3's are much more usable and come in more variates.(Shape, size, color, & brand)
