Pros: runs very quietly, lots of "get-up-and-go", great turning radius, beautiful vehicle Cons: bad gas mileage, Proximity of gas pedal to console, The Bottom Line: The 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer is a great vehicle for a small family, or someone just looking for a great Sport Utility Vehicle.
Having had a 1991 Subaru Justy as my primary mode of transportation for quite a while, it was a great opportunity to slide behind the wheel of our new 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. I knew right away that there were going to be marked differences in ...

Pros: Power, can order just the features you want, price, towing Cons: Jeep performs better and is more sophisticated The Bottom Line: A good value for those seeking a quick yet functional SUV, and don't mind a few rough edges.
Time was Detroit wouldn't even make a performance version of anything with more than two doors. The idea of a sport sedan just didn't compute. Even now you cannot get a Cobalt SS Supercharged in sedan form. But if you want a high-performance SUV, which ...

Pros: Strong, reliable, good looks and decent build quality. Fair gas mileage. Cons: Poor workmanship in door moldings and wiring, awkward rear entry, no hood supports The Bottom Line: Plenty of power and comfort in a mid-size SUV. It does what it's designed to do in style and without complaint.
Why buy an SUV? In September of 2005, I was in a position to change my transportation options, primarily involving how I got myself to work. Due to company cutbacks, I would have to foot the entire parking bill in downtown Portland, if I were ...

Pros: Fast, Head-turning looks, affordable, Fun to drive. Cons: Rougher ride over bumps than a regular Trailblazer. The Bottom Line: This truck is great for those who love sports cars and need the flexibility of an SUV for kids and hauling.
This truck has caused fights in my family! My husband and I both love this truck and fight over who gets to drive it. My husband had a 2002 Trailblazer that he loved but wanted something new. We took one look at the Trailblazer SS and had to have it. ...

Good for what you get!

Pros: Highs: available options, power, appearance (black or blue), DUBS (20 in wheels) Cons: Lows: 4 speed transmission
This SUV is a sure head turner (and approving nods) when viewed by other motorist. Great vehicle and pricing is not bad especially w/ incentives. You have the ability to configure the vehicle the way you want, bare bone or options galore. I recommend it for those struggling with leaving their sports coupe for a new addition to their family but want to still have fun. May not be the fastest in the sport SUV arena however, it proves to be a beast on the streets.

Smooth ride

Pros: Smoothest ride in an SUV, beautiful interior and exterior. Cons: Gas mileage.
I was not in the market for a used SUV and had no experience with a TrailBlazer, but I found the newer SUVs in the "value" package were not meeting my expectations. I tested the TrailBlazer and was amazingly surprised at all the options (heated leather seats, dual climate control, sunroof, XM, driver memory settings, etc.) as well as the smooth ride and quick acceleration. I love the 3rd row seat and easy access via the 2nd row. The style is also a plus. I was not ready to make the switch to those ugly crossover styles and the Pilot was very boxy looking. The TrailBlazer also has a much nicer ride and interior styling than the Honda Pilot. This has the smooth lines and more modern look. So far the only drawback is the gas mileage, but I've only driven in-town so far and averaging 13mpg.

A great, solid vehicle

Pros: Build quality, solid feel, reasonable gas mileage. Cons: Stock radio speakers need are lacking.
I traded my 2005 turbocharged Subaru Outback for the Trailblazer. The Chevy doesn't "scoot" like the Outback, but it has the room I need. Plus, it doesn't have the "dinky" feel of the Subaru. This vehicle has plenty of power with the 4.2-litre six, and the gas mileage I'm getting is reasonable for a vehicle this size (16 city, 21 hwy). But the big advantage is the Trailblazer is a solid, well-designed, well-built vehicle.
