Pros: Neo-1960s styling, wonderful V8, modern handling Cons: A few cheesy touches in the interior and severe dealer price-gouging (not the car's fault) The Bottom Line: Steve McQueen would take one in BRG.
Recently I went with a group of friends to Willow Springs raceway for a "track day", and got to enjoy many laps around the "Streets" course, including a few laps in a very-souped-up BMW 323i and as a passenger, some hot laps in a 600hp Corvette. Most of ...

Pros: Styling, power, drives like it looks, docile in traffic, engine knows when to keep quiet Cons: Somewhat cheap interior, cramped rear seat, no interior trunk release The Bottom Line: If you find the styling appealing, go ahead and buy the car.
If you're reading this review, then you should probably stop right now and head straight to your Ford dealer and buy the new Mustang. It's not a perfect car--far from it. But as with the best cars its styling tells you everything you need to know, both ...

Pros: Stunning styling inside and out, throaty-sounding V8, excellent driving position, newfound sense of substance. Cons: Shifter and steering get the Novocain treatment, chassis sophistication still trails import rivals'.
The Bottom Line: The 2005 redesign brings massive improvements for Ford’s pony car. It offers more authentic ‘60’s muscle-car flavor than previous versions, but finally feels updated to 21st-century tastes.
My Experience I recently attended the Ford Racing Innovation Drive event in Pasadena. It was held at Irwindale Speedway, and was essentially a showcase for Ford's new 2005 models--including the all-new Mustang. There were a couple other new ...

Pros: Great looking car, lots of available low-end torque. Spacious in the front. Cons: Somewhat uncomfy seats, little space for luggage, weird gear selector The Bottom Line: =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
During a recent trip to Los Angeles & San Diego, we had the opportunity to rent an '05 Ford Mustang. Our model was red with 2 doors, the 5-speed automatic power locks, mirrors and windows and a rear spoiler. This was not the GT Mustang, but the regular V6 ...

Pros: Good styling, powerful base V6, convertible top Cons: cheap feeling interior trim, shifter knob, poor suspension handling, no locking gas cap The Bottom Line: A good buy for a base sports car. With a few upgrades & improvements this could be a real killer. America is on its way back!
I had the pleasure of driving the new Ford Mustang Convertible on a weekend through Connecticut. Over three days I logged about 15 hours behind the wheel in city, highway, and back road driving. I have been a luxury brand driver for quite some time ...

Pros: Ride, handling, performance, interior, style, price. Cons: Low passenger seat, no locking gas tank, no interior trunk release. The Bottom Line: I bought one and I love it!!!
OK, we didn't buy the GT, instead we opted for the fully loaded V6, with the red leather bucket seats, aluminium dash etc. Price was the main consideration; the GT would have been nice, but the extra $10,000 just didn't seem worth it. First ...

Pros: Great look, Great engine, Great suspension Cons: some of the interior cheaply made- I don't care - this is a GREAT CAR The Bottom Line: Great car. Great Engine. Great sound. Comfortable interior. Looks to die for.
I was an early adopter, I got my Mineral Grey Automatic Mustang GT Thanksgiving weekend, 2004. It was largely an emotional decision (which I'm not known for), but one that I have never regretted. I also got a great deal, since a family member offerd me ...

Pros: Fast, compact and roomy. Runs on regular gas. Cons: Lack of passenger grab handle. No transmission dispstick. (GT)Not for teens. The Bottom Line: It is a sleeper car. It will surprise Vett's and Porches, and is cheaper to boot. When a SUV is not an option, give the Mustang a look.
The first thing that strikes you as you look at the front end of the 2005 Ford Mustang GT, is the classic look from the early seventies that brings back memories of the Boss and Shelby variant. Powered by a 4.6 liter V-8, the GT looks fast even ...

Pros: Retro 60 look. People want to see the car and talk about it. Cons: Not happy with interior looks cheap could be better. The Bottom Line: If your like mustangs this is a good car and has the looks. It just takes some getting used to but should be fine for most people.
I drove the 2005 Mustang for a week. I rented the car to go to Indy for the 500. I tried getting a hard top mustang but all where gone and they gave me the new 2005 mustang convertible for the same price. Oh well you have to rough it some times. The ...

The west end Ford Dealer in Edmonton called me to take a test drive as soon as the new cars landed in November. The test car was a premium white color with a red and black leather interior. The first thing I noticed was that the new model/style had a ...

Pros: Good performance for the value of the vehicle!!Style, amenities/comfort, power. Cons: Inside could use better materials. The Bottom Line: Great Car, Looks Great and Runs Great.
This car is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Great style meets fantastic performance. Lots of nay sayers who have not driven this car will complain about the live axle but I can tell you coming from a double wishbone independent rear suspension car, you would never ...

Pros: Tight handling, convertible top restyled, improved body style and interior. Cons: Small back seat, OK for kids by not adults. The Bottom Line: If you're older this car will make you feel young again...especially if you get the convertible model. It feels great driving and looks fabulous on the road.
Six months ago I traded my 2003 convertible Mustang for the 2005 convertible model. I have the premium sport package. Wish I could have got the GT but wasn't able to. I love the tight handling. And the roar of the engine give me an adrenalin rush. ...

Pros: Fantastic styling, nice sound, more-than-adequate power - even the V-6. Cons: Rear seat kinda cramped, could have more standard goodies, sparse color choices The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a sporty, fun, well-built 4-seat convertible , look no further.
The new 2005 Mustang is the first American car, new or used, that I've bought since '93. I've been in a string of German, Japanese, and even British (MINI) cars, and the new 'Stang is the first American iron I've driven in years that I would willing ...

Pros: Performance, style, SOUND, and, dare I say, craftsmanship! Cons: Fuel economy. But with a little self-discipline, you should get decent mileage. The Bottom Line: To someone seeking outstanding performance at a great price, look no further.
I bought my 2005 Mustang GT on Thursday, May 5th, at Mike Shad Ford here in Jacksonville, Florida. Mine is the Premium Coupe and has, I believe, every option and upgrade available, except for the convertible top and the Shaker 1000-watt stereo. As to ...

Pros: It's looks, the cost/performance ration, but mostly just the way it looks. ;) Cons: Uncomfortable seatbelts and a slightly harsh ride. The Bottom Line: The Mustang has good performance, an extremely tight turning radius and is reasonably comfortable, making it at home in parking lots, negotiating back roads and on road trips.
Take your basic '05 Mustang V6 in Redfire, add the 17inch Bullittesque wheels (see note 1 below), Pirellis, leather, GT grill lights and the dash upgrade and you have a reasonably priced good looking Mustang. Performance... Performance is good up ...
