| The up-level Continental combines the performance of a sports car with the elegant appointments expected in a British luxury car. Introduced in 1991, the Continental R was joined by the higher-performance Continental T in 1996. Like other Bentley models, the 1998 version received a sportier, more aggressive look featuring alloy wheels and a laser-cut matrix grille. Nineteen ninety-nine saw the introduction of the open-top SC. Distinguished by its bold styling and removable glass roof, the Continental SC was developed as a niche modelprimarily for the Californian marketalthough it enjoyed a highly successful sales worldwide. Started by engineer W.O. Bentley in 1919, Bentley Motors is now owned by Volkswagen AG. |
