Pros: Awesome look, great reliable vehicle

The Bottom Line: This is a great reliable car, even 5 years later. The body is very stylish and the drive itself is smooth.

So a week or so ago I was searching around epinions for fun. I figured I'd see what people said about my car. After a few variations of a search for Honda Civic 1998 and no results I was in shock. My car not in the epinions database?! It was an outrage. S ...

Pros: Smooth automatic transmission, great handling, excellent fit and finish.
Cons: Original tires, squeaking brakes, yellowing headlight housings, expensive parts.
The Bottom Line: The 1998 Honda Civic is a solid, dependable car that is both economical and fun to drive. A great car for a student or someone looking for good, basic transportation.

We purchased our 1998 Honda Civic sedan used in 2002 from a Honda Dealer. It was a low-mileage LX model with an automatic transmission, AC, power windows & locks, cruise control, and an AM/FM stereo. The car was purchased for our daughter who was 16 at ...

Pros: Good price, good comfort, great handling
Cons: Not powerful enough for automatic transmission

When I bought my Civic back in '98, I was stepping away from a big "floaty" Buick Century with power and automatic everything. Right from the start, the Honda Civic opened me up to a new world of driving.

One of the first things I...

I bought a '98 Honda Civic HX in early 1999. It was a new model that was just not cleared off the lot so I got a great deal on it. All I can say is, "This car gets great gas mileage!". I have a manual transmission and have gotten up to 41.2 mpg on a...

I bought (leased) my black 1998 5-speed Civic EX coupe in June, 1998. I bought it because I just graduated from law school and wasn't making much money, but needed a reliable car (my 1987 Firebird Formula 350 self-destructed). The lease payment was...

My husband purchased this vehicle new in April 1998 with 23 miles on it. He made a deal through the internet with a local dealer for a great price. I recently (at the time) taught him how to drive a 5 speed, so in order to save some money, that was...
